She started as a volunteer adult literacy tutor in AmeriCorps and currently serves as Chief Learning Officer for Mustard Seed Training. Meagen has a B.A. in Religion from Oberlin College, Certificate in Distance Education from Penn State University, and an M.A. in Theology and Religious Studies from John Carroll University. She has worked extensively with adult literacy programs, founded NEO Literacy Corps (now NEO Skill Corps), published Teaching Adults: A GED® Test Resource Book for New Readers Press, and a variety of professional development resources for Essential Education.
When she is offline, Meagen enjoys running a backyard homestead with her husband, two children, ten chickens, six ducks, bees, garden, and more added each year. She is also infatuated with her local library, bicycle touring, and camping.
